The Prevista Dry washbasin element is suitable for mounting on masonry wall constructions and stud frames pursuant to the regulations in section Standards and regulations and can be used in a Prevista Dry Plus pre-wall construction.
The washbasin element is compatible with all common washbasin ceramics, even with larger projection (barrier-free).

For mounting, Viega recommends to use the Prevista Dry fixing set.
Prevista Dry fixing set model8570.36 for fixing the Prevista Dry elements in single / line mounting, single mounting directly onto the installation body or corner mounting on masonry or steel stud frame.
Prevista Dry fixing set model 8573 for single mounting of Prevista Dry elements to the solid wall.
Prevista Dry Plus fixing set model 8570.49 for single mounting of the Prevista Dry elements in Prevista Dry Plus.

The wall constructions must comply with the regulations in section Regulations from section: Fields of application / Mounting conditions .
The washbasin element may only be mounted on even wall surfaces.
With the construction height, the marked height of the upper edge of the finished floor must be observed.
Seal the corner valve (e.g. using hemp).
Screw the corner valve into the screw fitting.
Seal and screw in a suitable pipeline adapter.
Observe the additional markings when aligning the corner valves.
Screw in until the connection to the washbasin fitting is between the markings.
Mount the entire seats in the concealed connection box.
The object can be heard locking into place.
Masonry and concrete walls
When mounting multiple washbasin elements with an interval of > 500 mm, Viega recommends to use a Prevista Dry support bracket (model 8570.48). Observe the instructions for use of the support bracket when mounting.
For mounting, Viega recommends to use a Prevista Dry fixing set.
Determine and mark the fixing points.
X1: 1100 mm
X2: Depending on the fixing set used
Determine and mark the fixing points on the floor.
X3: 375 mm
Drill the holes.
Insert the dowels.
Mount the Prevista Dry fixing set pursuant to the instructions for use for the fixing set.
Loosen the feet of the element using a fork spanner.
Adjust the construction height of the element in accordance with the on-site marking of the upper edge of the finished floor.
X: 1000 mm
Tighten the feet of the element using a fork spanner.
The element is attached to the wall.
When mounting without a continuous rail above the element, the Prevista Dry Plus fixing set (model 8570.49) must also be used. See example with WC element model 8521.
Mount the Prevista Dry Plus pre-wall construction pursuant to the instructions for use of the Prevista Dry Plus system.
Position the element on the floor rail.
Fix the feet on the floor rail using the clips.
Set the height of the element by means of the feet.
Fix the element with the Prevista Dry Plus rail connectors.
The element is fixed in the Prevista Dry Plus pre-wall construction.
Position the element on the floor rail.
If necessary, adjust the foot depth from 50 mm (pre-mounted) to 75 mm.
Pull the foot out and turn by 90°.
Fix the feet.
Adjust the construction height of the element in accordance with the on-site marking of the upper edge of the finished floor.
X: 1000 mm
Attach the element to the stud frame using the screws supplied.
If applicable, connect further elements to the element via the stud frame.
Use the quick release to adjust the drain elbow to the desired height.
Observe the instructions of the sanitary objects manufacturer.
Set the ledges to the desired height.
Turn in the threaded rods by hand.
Tighten the nuts of the threaded rods with a fork spanner.
Place the protective caps on the threaded rods.
Make the water connections.
Attach the site protection from the concealed connection box.
Optional cable bushing
On the top of the concealed connection box a section can be cut out which, for example, can be used as a cable passage.
Cut out and remove the area with a cutting knife.
Lead the cable through the opening and secure.
Cut a suitable plasterboard cladding panel to size.
Clad the element with suitable plasterboard cladding panels.
Remove the site protection.
Cut the shaft of the concealed connection box at tile-level.
Manufacture the connection for the washbasin fitting on one side using the copper pipe supplied.
If necessary, cut the chrome-plated pipe elbow supplied to the corresponding length.
Manufacture the second connection on the other side in the same way.
Shorten the copper pipe. The connection of the compression fitting must be within the concealed connection box.
Mount the compression fitting.
Optionally, connect the washbasin fitting to the concealed connection box using flexible hoses.
Align the corner valves.
When doing so, align the pipe elbow to the marking aid (line on the concealed connection box).
Remove the plug.
Insert the drain elbow into the lip seal of the odour trap.
If applicable, identify sizes on the drain elbow and adjusting pipe that may have to be shortened.
The sizes are marked in the diagram with X and are dependent on the chosen sanitary object.
Deburr the cut edge.
Grease the lip seal.
Insert the drain elbow through the cover plate into the lip seal of the odour trap.
Set the odour trap to the right size at the height.
The vertical setting range is 20 mm.
Attach the cover plate to the concealed connection box.
The lateral supports serve as a safeguard against distortion.
Turn the drain elbow to the right and in doing so secure it to the washbasin.
Check for leak tightness.
Requirement:
The odour trap must be freely accessible.
Cut the water supply.
Disconnect the water line from the corner valve.
Turn the odour trap anti-clockwise.
When doing so, unlatch the clip to the right.
Lift up the odour trap.
Remove the odour trap for cleaning.
Pull out the adjusting pipe upwards to clean.
Clean the odour trap.
Cut the water supply.
When replacing the corner valve, counter the screw fitting with a spanner (size 27).
Separate the product and packaging materials (e. g. paper, metal, plastic or non-ferrous metals) and dispose of in accordance with valid national legal requirements.
