Causes skin irritation and severe damage to the eyes
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
In case of contact with the eyes, rinse gently with water for several minutes.
If possible, remove contact lenses, if worn.
In case of contact with the skin, rinse the affected areas with plenty of water.
Call the poison information centre or a doctor, immediately – keep the packaging or the identification label at hand.
Check the identification label if there is any special treatment that should be carried out
Remove the contaminated clothing and wash before wearing again.
Risk to health
Keep out of the reach of children.
Observe the normal safety measures when dealing with chemicals.
Wear protective clothes and gloves, protection for the eyes and a face mask.
Read the identification label before use.
The Fonterra Reno casting compound is a calcium sulphate bound, polymer modified product for internal use.
The Fonterra casting compound has the following characteristics:
very resilient
quick hardening
suitable for castors (from 3 mm system coverage)
highly pourable
very low-stress
can be covered quickly
physiologically and ecologically harmless when in bound state
The product reacts alkaline with water.

Observe the following with transport and storage:
Can be stored up to nine months after the production date in closed original packaging
Store in a dry place
Delivery form: 25 kg sack
Prime the surface before applying the casting compound.
The flatness tolerances according to the applicable directives are achieved by applying one layer of casting compound, see Regulations from section: Processing .
Two-stage application of the casting compound provides for flatness tolerances in keeping with increased requirements.
In both cases, the floor layer may need re-working by the floor layer. Observe the respective manufacturer's installation guidelines, as well as the requirements specified in the applicable regulations, see Regulations from section: Processing .
Pressure test
Before covering the pipes, check the installation for leak tightness. Add the pressure test report to the building documentation.
Requirements:
The installation area is fully laid with Fonterra Reno system panels.
The Fonterra Reno system panels have been cleaned and are free of dust.
Apply Fonterra Reno primer (model 1235.23) to the installation area until you reach the required colour value of the control chart.
For detailed instructions on primer processing, see the product information (Fonterra Reno primer, model 1235.23)
Lay the pipes after the primer has dried.
Connect the pipes and do a pressure test.
The temperature of the mixing water and the bagged product must be minimum 5 °C.
Mix the casting compound pursuant to the processing guidelines.
For machine processing:
Use a suitable mixing pump.
Check the water addition and the complete mixing in regular intervals with a flow ring test (flow value: 240–260 mm, ring: 68 / H 35 mm).
Clean the mixing pump within 30 minutes after the end of work.
For manual processing:
Fill 5.75 l of water in a suitable high container and mix lump-free with one bag of casting compound (25 kg) for one to two minutes.
You can use a compound stirrer.
Too much water reduces the stability and increases the risk of tearing and shrinkage of the casting compound.
With the heating switched off and cool, quickly apply the casting compound. (The uncovered holding time after mixing is approx. 15 to 20 minutes.)
We recommend a two-layer application:
Apply the first layer of casting compound and spread it flush using a rubber spreading tool (model 1200.3).
Wait until the first layer is dry to the touch (approx. 1 hour). Apply the second layer and spread it in one step in a 3 mm thick layer using a height-adjustable spreading tool (model 1200.2).
If another layer of casting compound is required, you can apply it within four hours of applying the first layer without priming the area once more. After the application, the area must be primed once more.
Provide for an even change of air while the casting compound is curing. After curing, ventilate the installation site.
Protect newly made areas from draft and direct solar radiation. Curing will take double the time in temperatures below 10 °C.
Wait for approx. 24 hours before doing any grinding work (pay attention to the minimum layer thickness).
Separate the product and packaging materials (e. g. paper, metal, plastic or non-ferrous metals) and dispose of in accordance with valid national legal requirements.
Dispose of set material in compliance with the applicable regulations, also refer to Regulations from section: Disposal .
